This book attempts to tell a story about a young man's vocational and spiritual journey following his discharge (honorable) from the U.S. Army in 1955.
His journey took him to some interesting places and organizations including the Lumen Christi Club and the Young Christian Workers (YCW). His involvement in these organizations, especially the Young Christian Workers, and the different jobs he attempted, enabled him to eventually see where the Lord was leading him.
Little has been written about these lay organizations, like the YCW, who understood and nurtured the lay vocation even prior to Vatican II. This book is also a small attempt to celebrate those organizations.
