Do you accept international orders?

Of course we do. For orders outside the United States, please contact us via email, fax, or call us for a shipping cost quote and total cost. We require prepayment for all international orders, either by credit card or money order in U.S. funds. Call 1-773-590-3801.

Do you offer exam/desk copies of your book for review?

If you are a college professor or are acting on behalf of one and would like to receive an exam/desk copy for possible inclusion in a college-level course, please email Publisher Greg Pierce at gfapierce@actapublicationc.com or call him at 800-387-2282.. Include your name, school, department, course title, and address.

What is your return policy?

All sales are final. If there is a problem or concern with your order, however, please contact our customer service at 800-397-2282 or actapublications@actapublications.com.

What are your submission guidelines?

1. If you are not familiar with our books, please go on-line at www.actapublications.com. (Hint: People who do not do this often waste their time submitting manuscripts to us.)
2. If you truly feel we would be the best publisher for you, then send a proposal with three parts:
• A cover letter that explains your proposal and tells a little bit about yourself, why your proposed work fits our product line, and exactly whom you see as the audience. (Hint: If your book is for "everyone," then it probably is not for us. We need to know the kind of person who will buy your book and give it to others and why.)
• A table of contents for your proposed work.
• An introduction and one chapter. We will not read entire manuscripts. (Hint: Send us your best writing. It does no good for you to tell us that something is "just a draft" or that you are "still working on it." We are going to judge it as if it is your final product.)
3. Send your proposal by email only to Greg Pierce at gfapierce@actapublications.com. (Hint: This will get you a much quicker response than the mail.
4. We accept unsolicited submissions. (Hint: We also accept simultanious submissions to multiple-publishers, but only if you tell us upfront.)
5. We accept only electronic submissions. (Hint: Enough trees have already died.)
6. Upon receipt of your proposal we will review the materials and respond as appropriate. (Hint: Wait two weeks for a response and, if you haven't heard from us, e-mail actapublications@actapublications.com to inquire about your submission.)
7. If we decide to extend an offer of publication and you accept, then a timetable will be set up for the completion and publication of your work. (Hint: Because we are a small publishing house, we can give you an answer right away, and if we agree to publish your book it can be out within one year of our acceptance.)
8. We do not offer advances to any of our authors. (Hint: We do offer a higher royalty to authors who take advantage of our popular "Author-Investor-Initiative.")
