Product Description
A place for you to read and write a poem or two!
The author wrote this unique book to show what poets do…and to get children started writing their own poetry; and the artist drew some Scribbbles™ on each page to illustrate the poems. The book goes two ways. Side one presents Ron Marasco’s poetry about poems and poets, including Emily Dickinson, Walt Whitman, Maya Angelou, and Bob Dylan. Side 2 (the flip side), becomes a new book, where the reader can write his or her own poems. The user can add to the Scribbbles™ or color them or even invite an artist friend to help illustrate the poems. When done, the book can become a personal keepsake or a unique gift for someone who will treasure it!
When poets capture moments,
Creation takes a bow,
And taps her toe, in time, to show
The world she made’s a “Wow!”
For Life loves certain poems so much
It lets their spirit last,
And helps great poets find their way
To our day, from the past.

The morning dawned, all bright, all brisk.
All Washington was there
To stare as Maya took the stage,
A grey streak in her hair.
Perhaps, she thought of Lincoln—
His monument’s nearby,
And how, if statues listen,
Tears might glisten in his eye.
